In the meantime I quickly re-sell that car to another innocent third party.
I cash their check and spend the money somewhere else.
Before you can find out my check was hot the money is all gone and so is the car.
What do you do? Take the car back from the 3rd party? They thought they were buying the car free and clear. Sue me you won't get anything, the money is gone. Besides that I am 130 million in debt. Get to the end of the line. You lost a car, I'm still broke, but the car belongs to the 3rd party.
