During this big meeting you need to set patiently and quietly and take a few notes but speaking little except when asked a direct question (as in directed at you personally).  Because of your lack of knowledge and experience (both of which can be overcame with time) you need to be just a big fly on the wall.  Yes, it does affect your future, but you and hubby need to discuss it privately.

Oh! And when you do discuss it privately remember "Because we have always done it that way" IS a legitimate answer.  It's one I try and avoid, but it is legitimate.
