Renville Minnesota | I find it interesting the industry with the one of the oldest tarrif and quota systems in the United States with multitudes of growers reading this forum, seem to be a bit quiet.
I don’t have a dog in this fight, not a sugar producer, but my half of the county’s population would be decimated without the sugar industry.
I would think without the tarrif/quota system in place for sugar, our local economy would collapse. But I could be wrong.
I know my belly could use a little bit tightening of the quota of sugar allowed in.
So are all tarrifs really a bad thing?
I do think unbalanced trade is a poor way to go about the future, but as always, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Happy Saturday to ya. | |
