Did "grain production" land lose 85% of its value in "a couple years"?
Around here, we went from your $1,600 high to about $800.
I guess it really doesn't matter. If you are unlucky enough to buy at the exact peak AND sell at the exact low in a few years time, any business will be financially unkind.

It wasn't 85%, but land here sold for $3400 in 81, dropped to $1100 in 85-86 range, and did not get back to $3400 until 2003 or so. |
