If life in the USA is going to get as "bad" as some people predict, the question is, how much land will a person be able to physically keep control of/protect from the marauding hordes of barbarians and keep the land productive enough to feed/clothe/house your own. My thoughts are about 40 acres...maybe 20 if things get really "bad."
