In 2023 you could have raised your APH and still collected a payment on corn. But if you don't have taxpayer subsidized crop insurance your floor earnings is zero dollars, with crop insurance it's 70% of your APH TIMES SPRING PRICE.
The fact that one does not understand the difference that makes in land values tells me you have not farmed before subsidized insurance.
