NW Indiana | The current situation is no where near close to what happened in the 70's. Back then guys that owned 200 acres bought 200 more mortgaging both to do so because the belief was prices will never go down. Today ag in general is in very sound financial terms with many being very wealthy, only a small percentage is leveraged to the hilt. My question is more surrounded upon something completely different, debating on the idea that land could become a store of value like gold, crypto or others are thought of. If it becomes common belief that US currency is worthless what is to say land hardly needs any return at all like the others? Basically I'm suggesting is it possible that it becomes an entirely different asset class?
