I agree with the lack of activity now as school kids. I taught for over 20 years and saw PE classes time cut dramatically. Recess too. It’s just easier to put them in front of a computer screen. PE is now expected to spend a certain amount of time sitting in desks learning “health and wellness” rather than actually being active. Years ago elementary kids had a significant morning “ recess” and after lunch too. Then PE and often another recess around 2:00. Sad. The worst thing you can do to a rat to inhibit brain development is to take away his running wheel. Make it just sit/lay there all day. That research has been known for decades.
