are you planning on putting new fence close to old? Might just let it stay there Il. weather it will rot eventually, if can put electric close to old fence to kept cattle from getting near it. Timeless post will be a good option not sure on the 2 wire deal if used need to have lower wire high enuff away from the old short me out fence. Fiber post would be a good option also.

Yea that's why I want to clean it out decent I'm putting new fence exactly where it is, ground is so steep that's really the only suitable line to go through this timber. Wanted to get ot cleaned up good because the worst shorts to have on electric is those ancient old rotten wires that coke out of nowhere in the leaves and you can't hardly tell its metal.

This fence will only have cattle against it maybe 3 or 4 days each 60-70 day rotation so that's kind of why I wanted to go with hi tensile and timeless posts. It's completely in the timber so figured it would be more forgiving for trees falling on it rather than barbed wire
