NEMO | Probably completely different environments. Mud under snow is pretty.common. No dry place to stand. Still mud in the timber or wind breaks.
Sure don't see the cattle being dirty by bedding them. Kind of the opposite. If you skip a few days and don't bed they will go back to wherever you did bed or find the driest places to lay down just so they don't have to stand.
One other thing I like about unrolling hay all over the pasture (when we can get around) is spreading the nutrients out everywhere. | |
