Subject: RE: Bedding Cows During Winter?

NC Iowa

Hick - 1/11/2024 21:40 When I had cows I never beaded them. They lived outside a good grove and calved on grass. Fed out on the cornstalks everyday besides for blizzards. They never had tack on them, stayed clean. I will argue that bedding cows actually makes them dirty.

Pretty much what I do.  Either have to bed a lot, or not at all.

I do bed though when its gonna be extremely cold and windy, but thats the only time they want to be under cover, they would rather be out in the windbreak outside 95% of the time.
