NW Missouri | Same here. I roll out junk bales only on the coldest days of the year (usually 2-3 times a winter). I try to unroll in front of windbreaks, they eat some then they lay on what's left. If OP is only talking adult cows in good shape, they probably don't have to have anything with the temps he posted. But I'm going to be unrolling tonight for every group, including the cows. High temp is going to be either side of zero for the next 4 days with 20+ mph winds. If I'm not going to use my junk bales at a time like this I might as well plug a ditch with them. | |
