| Not saying you are wrong, but do not have it and no good way to deal with it in the spring, as others have said they stay clean and if you bed cows with just a little they probably would get dirty and be worse off then with none, have not noticed any ill effects and nave been doing it this way since 2004.
Edit: I have come to the conclusion over the past few years that the heat of July is harder on cattle then the cold of January.
