Subject: RE: 60" rows and ear corn

Northeast Missouri
My "interseeder" is a Great Plains 14' mounted drill that I bought at auction late in the winter for $900. The reason it couldn't be ready in time is that (1) I need to remove drill units where the corn rows will be, and (2) it needs some work--replace press wheels, etc. It doesn't have as much clearance as a designed-for-interseeding machine, so timing may be tight on getting the seeding done. But many others have used a drill the same way...anyway, it's a cheap way to start/try the practice.
