| Traction control is a misnomer. I found my vehicles get better traction in ice & snow when I turn it off. My wife had ab'96 Suburban that was the first vehicle I recall having it. Vehicle was 2 wd with positron rear-end. We were headed home one night from a catering job. It was snowing hard & had about 6" snow on the road. Turned off the hwy onto a blacktop with a small incline. Vehicle started fishtailing & slowing down, I reached over & flip the traction control off & it straighten right up & went up the hill with no issues. | |
