For example, when the satellite guidance system goes down on the planter tractor, how many just drop the marker and keep going?
Had an autosteer issue this year and delayed planting for twelve hours to get it fixed. Haven't planted with markers since 2018 and it would have to be really bad set of circumstances to ever drop a marker again. But I still know how to do it. It's a skill that will be lost in the next generation.
Perhaps it's like checked corn? Not many left that have ever done it or know how to do it.
