| I bought a new pu back in April that has adaptive cruise. I hated it at first, thing almost got me into an accident. I was on the I state following a semi that was passing another. When he got around he pulled over into the right lane. The adaptive cruise speed back up to where I had it set . All of a sudden the semi starts to pull back into my lane just as I was getting ready to pass.The adaptive cruise didn't pick up his move rightward & if I hadn't slammed on the brakes when I did I would have hit the left rear corner of his trailer. After that I shut the adaptive cruise off, just ran regular cruise.
After about a month I decided to try it again. I found if I narrowed the gap setting between me & the vehicle ahead of me that I liked it better. Default factory setting was too much gap. I have it in the middle position & it works alot better IMO. Default setting my truck started slowing down too far backm& made it hard to pass.when running in traffic. | |
