lake Michigan shore line/Mason county
If you complain about light pollution from a farmers night light you must have way to much time on your hands to just think of stupid stuff that only applies to you. What a simple minded comment. Not every farmer is a corn and beans guy. What if you have livestock?? Each night I get up once, maybe twice to relieve myself. Each time I look out at the lawn and driveway, then out towards the barn. MANY times in the last 30 years I have spotted a cow, or two walking around. It just happens now and then. I am glad to spot them before they make it to the road and get hit. I also have spotted fox and coyotes up to the buildings looking to cause trouble. My area, as well as everyones area now days is over run with meth heads n dope heads looking to steal cat converters, Fuel, or what ever else isnt bolted down. Being in total darkness is asking for trouble. Each to his own, but I will choose a few lights on MY farm.
