I would build 50 ft away from where the current house sits and don't look back. The beauty of a new build is making the things you want the right size....big kitchen, gargage, bathrooms....CLOSETS for the better half, lol. Think 100/sq ft is entirely possible.
Interrest is cheap. 25 or 30 year note payments won't be bad at all.
Parents recently remodeled and have darn near what a new one would cost in it.
Oh and don't forget to knock the old one down. Have a couple of neighbors who forgot that step....not cool, lol.
Thats a huge pet peeve of mine when there's a brand new house sitting there and right next to it is an old junky farmhouse. It looks quite gaudy.... |
