But what kind of corn yield do you normally expect?
...I'm thinking this might work in a low yield environment. Our best forage grows spring and fall....many summers are a bust. So if the corn was mediocre, at least we'd still have a good shot at supplemental forage to use while fescue pastures are growing stockpile to feed Nov./Dec.
My experience is on good soils under organic management. Yield has ranged from 180-200 in the years I've tried it. I've only been doing it on some end rows and planting winter squash in the skip rows the last 2 years. |
