| I disagree with you on K being glorified babysitting. It was that way when I was in K, but in this day and age, they are pounding stuff into these kids' heads in K!
I can remember going to K and singing songs, playing, nap time, snacks, games, etc. Not a whole lot in terms of learning anything. I could have probably learned more by staying home and watching Sesame Street. Back then, I think the whole idea of K was getting kids used to the social aspect of being in school and making the break from being around parents all day. Nowadays, they are teaching kids to read, write, do math, etc in K. | |
