Sac & Story county IA | My wife teaches all day kindergarten. The district offers pre school and alternative kindergarten. The students have been in school for either 1 or 2 years already.
My wife always says to make the decision on sending or waiting a year on maturity, not knowing letters, numbers, shapes, acedemic stuff.
The box of knowledge has a lot more in it than ever before. The teachers have to get them farther than ever before.
The teachers in our school take great pride in the number of students that have gone on to professional schools, medical school, law school and other advanced degrees.
Not a view shared universally in the community. The students aren't around to be hired men and drive the big hog manure tanks and buy the big pickups from the local dealer. | |
