Michigan | Your child is a lucky one - she gets watched by her parents all day long. Our first went to half day and our second went to all day. They both adjusted fine. I think it depends on the child.
Since you are not being given the choice - you need to honestly look at your child and evaluate if she can handle it. It will be hard at first because it is something new but if you are excited she will be too. Does she have friends that will be going? That would help.
If you put her in pre-k at 5 and K at 6 she will be older at graduation - I was personally happier to get done with school quicker.
Good luck with whatever you decide - and stay away from the water on here - my wife and I are one of the couples expecting after a 10 year gap!
