Our oldest is in Gr. 1 now. He had kindergarten for whole days every second day. I wouldn't want it any other way. yes, he was fairly tired at the end of the day but a quiet time and a snack after he got home and an early bed time 7:30pm seemed to address that. We liked it because he had a whole day the next day to unwind, be a kid, ride with dad in the combine etc. rather than a 1/2 day. It also made it nice for us as parents because we could make a long weekend out of any weekend (my in -laws live 3 hours away and we like to visit them regularly). I can't imagine having to drive in every day to go pickup kids from school at lunch. We only live 2 miles from school so it wouldn't be too bad but for those that are 20 miles, that becomes a big expense of time and money.
Just my thoughts.
