I have the floor heat & just love it. I have been around a used oil furnace & what I don't like about it is it was VERY noisy. I don't know if all used oil burners are that way but when this one ran you had to really talk up when you talked to someone. My floor heat runs with a small electric boiler & it makes no noise. You have to look at the boiler light to see if it is even running. Like the previous comments 55 degrees is plenty warm enough for me. Good luck in you decision.
