Subject: heat source for new shop

Farmland, IN
I am in the process of planning a shop/machine storage building similar to Stonetown Steve's below, not quite as big. I see a lot of guys on here really like the in floor heat. Can someone tell me what is wrong with a waste oil furnace? Seems like a pretty economical heat source, with the free fuel and all. What components are needed for in floor heat? I assume you need some sort of outside burner, i.e. wood, coal, etc., to heat the water? What are the pros and cons of each of these systems as you guys see it. Thanks, TA.
