One comment: INSULATE THE FLOOR. You will be heating a giant slab of concrete sitting on /in the cold cruel ground. Insulate it as well as possible and it will make a VERY large impact on your heating cost. I would say insulation is the single most important aspect to the whole project.

That said, In floor heat is VERY nice.
