Depends mark, There are ways of figuring out if the throw out bearing is gonna go out. Most of the time it makes a new noise when the clutch pedal is engaged. However a person that has never been around these machines will not know the noises. I realize it is possible that he could have been an honest seller and really didn't know anything about it. But its kinda ironic that it failed not many hours of run time after the purchase. Also its ironic that the seller wont answer the phone or emails. Even to tell the purchaser that it was sold as is.
