Tough ****. Welcome to the world of tractors and equipment ownership. That tractor is over 40 years old. Fix it and life goes on. 806s are good ole tractors. Find a good knowledgeable IH mechanic and have him adjust the clutch, ta, and all linkages. Not uncommon for the shift covers to have to be rebuilt. None of this is very expensive. Once you get all the bugs worked out it will make you a good tractor. There's a reason why that tractor was probably 4-7k? and a new one with a warranty is 100k.

If its got tits or tires its gonna give you trouble. When I started having trouble with my girlfriend, I certainly didn't go after her ex. He was just luckier than me.
