NW Washington | I too recommend the biggest tires you can find. Forklifts all have a really heavy counterweight that is supported by dinky little wheels/tires so if you get off a good solid surface you are stuck. Go for the propane for reliable and safe operation inside, but as mentioned a spare second FULL fuel tank is really handy. And a empty spare tank is a real bummer. But a forklift is an amazingly handy piece of equipment. Also great for moving equipment if you make a hitch for the forks. A simple open center remote valve and hose couplers is handy too. Most of them are pretty simple rigs. Transmission is mainly just forward and reverse.
I was around an old Baker and the main problem with it was keeping the main brakes working. | |
