the european deere combines at least are built slightly different than the norht american models, in europe wheat and other grains are combined higher in moisture due to the climate and there is generally more straw also. specs for the 975 in the photos are:
cylinder dimensions 24"x51"
cylinder speeds 470-1160
straw walkers 5 equipped with cross shaker
seperation/cleaning area 7316/7130 sq. inches
grain tank 121 bu
engine HP 167
these european model combines also have a 104 degree concave wrap, longer 6" throw on the straw walker cranks ( slower agitation on the walkers to handle the longer damp straw ), and opposed action of chaffer and sieve. The cross shaker mechanism is slowly rotating oscillating tines located above the straw walkers, it helps to move the long damp straw through the machine.
