Star Prairie, WI | NE MN "the iron range", not sure who the ownership is, but is supposed to be the 1st steel mill in MN, which has been the leading producer of taconite (high grade iron ore) since WWII.
The company I work for all our steel comes from MN, WI, or IL, but those are just "slitting" plants, where they take a 50.000# master coil made somewhere else and cut it to the customers specs. But about +-90% of our steel is listed as "country of origin = usa"
