SW Ohio
Middletown Ohio AK Steek (Kawasaki) formerly Armco (American Rolling Mill) makes LOTS of steel, almost all coils, train leaves every day with hundreds sometimes thousands of coils, most trucks leaving only haul one each so probably 20 ton average. This mill is getting old and inefficient, make raw steel on one end of plant and send it to the rolling line and have to reheat it to roll it. Most of my relatives and landlords worked there or had family that did, all said they are running it into the ground, in ten?-twenty? years it will be mothballed.(Can't imagine cleaning that place up, never happen)
