Completely untrue! In fact most of the steel you get here is from US or Canada. The problem is scrap. Good steel is made from recycled steel and all the scrap is going to China. For instance the framework for the new GFX unit is made from 4130 and because of the shortage of molybdenum and chromium and nickel it costs a lot. Stainless steel is also insanely expensive right now.
