If you're going to flood irrigate I would find it hard to drill soybeans into previous years residue and still be able to irrigate them. It would seem that the water wouldn't be able to make it thru unless all of the corn residue was removed. I would think you'd be better off with 30" rows. Maybe try some of each and see what works and yields for you.
