I have 2 feed trucks with Allison 653's. One truck we put in an old 2-speed rear end, it works well. The latest one we put in a 7.?? ratio rear end with a Muncie 2A (50% reduction on the low side) manual transmission behind the Allison. This truck just crawls when it is wound up in first gear. Downfall of it is you have to shift the Muncie into high when backing up into a place when you are not feeding. It is slow!

This truck has a 2 speed rear axle, don't know if its working or not, but I have it in low
