Kaukauna WI | Yes, a freestall barn. People here tell me 10% is OK but 19% is too much. Actually some people tell me you shouldn't be overstocked at all. Our feet are not very good. Plus our cows don't get out on dirt at all (i.e., overstocking is probably not our only problem, but I see it as a problem.) And our cows are too dirty from laying in the cowyard (our cows eat at a bunk, away from the freestall barn).
and yes, if it takes me to sell the cows in order for corn to go down and milk to go up, so be it :-) You can thank me later. | |
