Kaukauna WI | We dairy farm in Wisconsin. We started on our own in 1985. It was very tough to get started. Our first year we lost 26 of out 29 of our first-calf heifers due to Johne's disease. In 1988 the drought almost put us under. But we are still here, our five kids raised. 2009 was a total disaster. We lost over $100k with our 170 cows. The biggest drawback is you never get away.
