Northeast SD | Here is what I experienced with a 688. 1. Lossen the slip clutch on the gear box at the beginning of the season or you willtear the mounting off. 2. If it has the control box peridcally make sure thebalesize on the monitor coincides with the actual bale size because if you overfill it will break rollers and belts.3. The pickup will need teeth and rollers peridically. BTW the netwrap and twine is either or because it takes some to change from one to the other. Dont know how the wrap works mechanically as I never used it. I really liked the double twine arm because it was much faster than the 605 M that I now use. Guess Im not going to get into the twine net wrap controversey for feeding except to say I dont like plastic period. IMO the 688 is a pretty good baler. | |
