| During the drought of 07 that fall I bale about 200 rolls of corn stalks. Never again, if possible, next spring I put all new teeth on my JD 535. Short of hay that winter. Hope that it don't happen again, at least that bad of a drought. Eight thousand bales of grass type hay isn't alot, at least to me. At a estate auction last Saturday they sold a JD 566 baler that baled 8000 rolls for $8500. It seem cheap to me. Rest of that equipment sold high, it mostly hay equipment and cattle handling stuff. JD6400 tractor, cab, JD loader, 3000 hrs for $27000; JD5320, open station, MFWD, loader $22500: JD 265 disc mower $6500: Priefert heavy duty cattle chute, pap cage, wheel kit $3700. | |
