It sounds like your boss finally got promoted to her level of incompetence.

Don't burn any bridges. Keep your cool and look for something else, but do the job to the best of your ability until that day comes. You want the move to be on your terms.

When my wife stayed home to raise our kids we never missed the income. I left a sales job that I was a slave to a year ago to farm full time. When I started to realize that my philosophy did not align with the company's direction I decided it was time to move on. Best thing I ever did.

Keep in mind that I didn't just up and leave a job with no plan though. I had everything I needed in place when I left.
