Your gross back is approx $1,000 per acre per year.
Your hard costs will run in the $75 per cow range ( $150 per acre for 2 cows )...sooo your net back to living/profit is $850 per acre.
Keep in mind there's quite a bit less expense form the machinery side because the cows take the place of your John Deere plan so to speak.
Quite a few ways to tweek the afore to derive say a $1,500 to $1,700 return gross per acre ( instead of the afore mentioned $1,000 )...depnds on your setup, lay of the land, access to actually other rougher land, or crop residue rents available etc in the area etc.
