Ya, I know right now and 3-5 yrs ago the market was pretty good, but the last couple haven't been great. Prices were even in the mid to low nineties for steers and heifers. I figure 1.10-1.15 is maybe an average. I would love to be clearing 250/hd, but as a young farmer I am also making loan payments on them which has been making for some very low profit years or less.
