A home is not an investment. Maybe at one time it was, but no more. By the time you finance a house, pay interest, insurance, etc., it is just like buying a car, truck or tractor. Yeah, they do APPEAR to appreciate in value. But they don't really. It's just the value of the dollar dropping that gives you that illusion.
