NW Kansas | As long as we are giving advice and opinions on religion I would like to give some interesting pieces of information about the United Methodist Church (UMC). The church is being led by people with very liberal views in my opinion. The issues that bother me are : not necessarily needing to believe Jesus Christ is the son of God and died for our sins, Pro abortion stance , gays in the pulpit.the use of Tibetan bells and many others. The local Churches are full of good christian people who are not aware of where their Missions and Ministries money is going that they are required to give. I am a member of a congregation that left the UMC and we thought we could keep the building and money in accounts we were wrong but we did negotiate the money to go to a UMC campground run by great people. The high ranking officials in the UMC are not reflecting the values of the majority of their members, sounds familiar to the situation our country is in. | |
