Dave, in Europe those were called Ford Capri, made in England. Were available with a 4 banger 1.8l engine or a straight six 2.Xl engine that was quite capable. My brother-in-laws parent had several.
I never knew they were here also.
Cologne Germany was the home of the Mercury Capri from 70-77. They sold well in England, but made in Germany.
