SE IL		Dave, I feel your pain. I, too went to progressives at least 5 years ago-hated them with a passion. But I stuck with them and now I really don't notice them. I think it makes a big difference where you get them. Went to wally world for a couple pair but last couple have been going to Sears. Much better quality IMO. Cheaper too as they were having a sale. I really don't understand why they are so expensive-there's not that much to it-liability I guess. If someone can come up with a better system they'll be rich. I am not a candidate for lasik as I have too much astygmitism (sp?) but they are improving this all the time-maybe some day. I am not too vain to wear the glasses tho as I have pretty much all my life (strabismus) and feel naked without them. At least I CAN see with what I've got-unless it's overhead then forget it. I guess I need to get a pair of reading glasses for that. Hope this helps.
