NW Iowa. / SW Arizona		Dave when I turned 50 a little over 4 years ago I started wearing glasses for the first time ( fun getting old :-( . I'm just the opposite of you I can't see close up for reading or computer use. I went with the bifocals right off the bat & to be honest I have had no problem what so ever with them. Maybe part of it is that I have never wore glasses before so I didn't need to readjust. I do find my self wearing them more & more all the time. I personally really like them. Good-luck.
