BS as in completely subjective and should not be reviewable after the play. Much like a missed holding call isn't and shouldn't be reviewable. Its not like out of bounds or was the runner down, that is either yes or no, not subjective.
This "invalid fair catch" could literally be called in nearly every game, but it isn't. You have 2 examples, that's it, out of 1000's of games. That is where the lack of consistency is.
It was only automatically reviewed because of being a scoring play. They do not automatically review kick returns for being in out of bounds. I don't know if PJ would have challenged the play or not, don't care, it doesn't matter.
Hopefully PJ enjoyed that one, it might be the only time he ever gets to row the boat over Iowa.
