The fact that Clark was getting mauled the whole first half had something to do with holding her scoring down. Marshall couldn't throw the ball in the ocean the whole game. She did play absolute lock down Defense on Beukers the whole game.
The illegal screen was absolutely that. Illegal. Can't throw an elbow or hip check the defensive player trying to get through. It would be an injustice to the game and the defensive effort if all the rules were just ignored at the end of the game just so a player could get a shot off for the potential win.
Clark had an off game. Mostly because of the smothering defense. Still ended up with 21 points 9 rebounds and 7 assists. That could and should have been more if not for the missed chippies.
That is a great group of teammates. Someone has stepped up all year. Great to see a close knit group get a chance at the glory.
